This is Len Cram's VERY FIRST BOOK in his opal series.(personally signed by Len Cram) It has special meaning to us at Outback Gems. The multi-colored, opal background on its cover is from a stone mined by us in April, 1987, at the 70 ft level, from the the "6 mile" opal field in Lightning Ridge, NSW, Australia. It finished out at 5.84 ct and was named "Fire Storm".
